LCL (Groupage)

If you want to ship something and don’t need a full container, we can help.

Less than Container Load (LCL), may also be known as freight consolidation or groupage. It entails putting several items that are all going to the same destination together into one shipment and allows companies that are sending small items to benefit from bulk rates. By combining your shipment with other customers’ shipments (consolidating), we can reduce your shipping costs.

  • We operate worldwide door-to-door LCL services through our main gateway of Antwerp for all your groupage needs. We also operate specialised Direct LCL Consolidation services, including:

    • Direct Consol service from Dublin to New York (11 Days Transit)

    • Direct Consol service from Dublin to Singapore (32 Days Transit)

    • Direct Consol service from Hong Kong to Dublin (29 Days Transit)

    Horner Agencies handles all types of goods including general and personal effects as well as hazardous, perishable and fragile goods on a DDP, door to door basis through our global network of freight forwarders.

    All LCL cargo is handled at our AEO Approved Customs Bonded warehouse.

FCL shipments

We problem solve when there are unforeseeable and unavoidable changes (e.g. inclement weather, geopolitical issues, port capacity constraints) and communicate these to you quickly, so that you in turn can communicate with your own clients.

Our Full Container Load (FCL) service is a worldwide door-to-door service, combining sea-freight with onward road freight. We handle all types of goods as well as hazardous, fragile and perishable ones to destinations across the globe. Customs Clearance

Horner Agencies offers an expert customs clearance service, removing a stress point from your workload, and ensuring that your cargo is not delayed unnecessarily.

Customs clearance is a time-consuming and complex but essential process. It involves calculating the VAT and duties that may arise on goods entering and leaving the country and ensuring that they enter or exit legally. All goods shipped internationally must pass through Customs regardless of their mode of transportation. After your goods are cleared and released you will receive Customs Documents confirming that all applicable Customs Duties and Taxes have been paid.
